AiR Småland
AiR Småland is a residency program for artists working in the fields of literature, dance, art and film. The program provides an opportunity for artistic exploration – to investigate ideas and develop one’s artistic expression.
Two residency grants are offered in each artistic field: one to a local artist and one to a visiting Swedish or international artist. Our partner organization serves as host for both recipients. Over a two-month period, both artists receive support and resources to focus on exploratory artistic work, as well as time and space for reflection, in-depth exploration, and artistic development within their respective fields.
The purpose of AiR Småland is to:
- strengthen the independent cultural scene in Jönköping County
- create opportunities for encounters and collaborations between local, national, and international artists
- support the development of cultural practitioners and institutions in the region.
Application
The application for dance artists is open from April 7 to May 8, 2026. The residency will take place from October to November, 2026 in collaboration with Kultivera in Tranås.
