AiR Småland

AiR Småland is a residency program for artists working in the fields of literature, dance, art and film. The program provides an opportunity for artistic exploration – to investigate ideas and develop one’s artistic expression.
Two residency grants are offered in each artistic field. A local grant recipient, together with our partners, hosts a visiting Swedish or international artist. Over a three-month period, both artists receive support and resources to focus on exploratory artistic work, as well as time and space for reflection, in-depth exploration, and artistic development within their respective fields.
The purpose of AiR Småland is to:
- strengthen the independent cultural scene in Jönköping County
- create opportunities for encounters and collaborations between local, national, and international artists
- support the development of cultural practitioners and institutions in the region.
Application
The application for artists working in the fields of film and art is open from September 26 to November 26, 2025. The residencies will take place from March to May, 2026.
