AiR Småland
AiR Småland is a new residency program run by Region Jönköping County, with support from the Swedish Arts Council. The purpose of the residency is to provide space and time for artistic development. AiR Småland welcomes artists working in the fields of literature, dance, art and film.
For each residency period, two recipients are appointed: one local artist from Jönköping County and one visiting artist from the rest of Sweden or the world. Both artists will be given the possibilities to focus on artistic investigative work as well as time and space for inspiration and artistic development within their field.
Scholarships for the residency period are awarded to both artists, as well as accommodation, studio and travel expenses.
Application
The application for artists working in the fields of dance and literature is open from March 12 to April 23, 2025. The residencies will take place from September to November 2025.

AiR Småland is a new residency program run by Region Jönköpings län, with support from the Swedish Arts Council. The purpose of AiR Småland is to strengthen the independent cultural scene, cultural practitioners, and institutions in Jönköping County while enriching the region’s cultural life through interactions with guest residents from Sweden and around the world.
