Region Jönköping County welcomes doctors, nurses, dentists and those with other health care or dentistry qualifications from other countries. Do you have any of the mentioned qualifications? Clinical Training

If you have a medical education from outside the EU/EES and you have received a decision from the Swedish government agency Socialstyrelsen which states that you need to fulfill a period of clinical training (praktisk tjänstgöring/provtjänstgöring) then the region of Jönköpings county may be able to offer you a helping hand. Please contakt us for more information.

Knowledge of the Swedish language

To be employed as a doctor, you will need a knowledge of Swedish equivalent to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Knowledge of Swedish legislation

You must also be very familiar with healthcare legislation in Sweden.

If you need to top up your knowledge of healthcare legislation, there are courses available at the Sahlgrenska Academy, the University of Gothenburg, Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm or Linköping University.
