Project consortium kicks off three-year translation initiative
From February 4th to 6th, the project consortium gathered in Jönköping, Sweden, for an official kickoff. During the meeting, the consortium met with Swedish authors whose works will be translated and published, alongside participating Swedish publishers. The event also included discussions with regional politicians and managers from Region Jönköpings län, and Swedish Radio conducted an interview about the project.
During the kickoff meeting, the consortium decided upon a work plan for the whole three year-project. Dates for all translations and publications are now decided. Some of the 25 titles are already translated and some of them are being translated during the spring. The translations of authors Jacob Sundberg and Erica Hindborg are almost finished, and the promotion of their books will start at the Prague Book Fair in May. The consortium will meet next time in Prague in September.
